Kate has a Bachelors of Arts  at West Chester University for music composition.   She also completed two years of music study at Bucks County Community College. She continues her exploration of piano with Edward Ferdinand, an accomplished pianist who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard, and Dr. Steven Bresnen, a theory and composition professor and Bucks County Community Music Department Chair. Her academic accomplishments include making the President's Honor's List four consecutive semesters; being inducted into the National Honors Society of Leadership and Success and serving as President of the Tyler Literary Society at Bucks County Community College.

Kate's teaching style: "I try to appeal to a student’s interest in different forms of music while teaching the basics in both playing the piano, music theory, and ear training."

Advice to new musicians: "Though it can be hard in the beginning, the key is to practice as much as possible and to continue to do so. Anything is possible – just keep practicing!"

Fun facts about Kate: When she is not playing and writing music, Kate also writes novels, draws and paints.
