Brass and Woodwind 

Omeed graduated from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music in May of 2023, where he
studied with instructors such as Terell Stafford, Dick Oatts, Mark Patterson, Joe McDonough,
Tim Warfield, Max Siegl, as well as members of the Philadelphia Orchestra Matthew Vaughn
and Blair Bollinger.


Omeed has performed all over the globe. In 2016, he traveled to Sydney, Australia to perform
with multi-instrumentalist James Morrison. In 2017, Omeed performed at Disney parks in both
Florida (with the NAFME Jazz Orchestra), and California (with the Pennsbury Instrumental
Department), followed by a performance at Catalina’s Jazz Club. In 2019, he traveled to Hong
Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, and Taichung with the NYO Jazz Orchestra under the direction
of Sean Jones. In 2020, he traveled to Aspen, Colorado to perform with the Frost School of
Music’s sponsored summer music program there. Omeed has performed at Jazz at Lincoln
Center in New York City multiple times, and also has performed at Carnegie Hall and Birdland
Jazz Club.

 

While being well versed in many musical styles associated with jazz, Omeed has had extensive
orchestral experience, playing with the Haddonfield Symphony/Symphony in C from 2018 –
2021.

Omeed has been teaching private lessons and gigging locally for a number of years, and
started teaching lessons at Music Forte in 2022. He is currently teaching accepting
students on all level for saxophone, trombone and trumpet, as well as beginner – intermediate
flute and clarinet.
