Melanie's approach to piano includes instilling a firm classical foundation on which she encourages students to biuld their own particular musical styles and interests. She is also proficient in ear training, and music literacy.
A professional musician and teacher, Melanie most recently played synthesizer in the Kelsey Theater’s musical production, “Return to the Forbidden Planet.” She earned her associate's degree in liberal arts and science from Mercer County Community College. While there, she completed two years of piano studies with Joshua Wilson, focusing on classical composers including Bach, Haydn, and Chopin. She also studied at the Westminster Conservatory of Music.
Melanie is bi-lingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.
